Greer Shelter to Empower People (STEP), operated by Daily Bread Ministries, offers a 90-day shelter and support program for homeless families, led by trained counselors and a licensed mental health professional. Families must be committed to overcoming homelessness and referred by a commission of mental health professionals, clergy, and the director of operations. The Greer Soup Kitchen also provides meals and a place of refuge for those in need.

The Healthwell Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals who need medical services but cannot afford them. When health insurance falls short, it helps cover copays, premiums, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses.
